BTA International GmbH and Agraferm GmbH, two of the leading players in the biogas sector and with together almost 60 years of experience, have joined forces to be able to offer optimized solutions for waste treatment and anaerobic digestion from just a single source.
BTA International ist the leading specialist for the wet-mechanical pretreatment of all types of organic waste from food waste up to OF MSW.
The BTA® Hydro-mechanical Treatment is characterized by its flexibility and very efficent removal of impurities. This makes the operation reliable, maximizes the biogas yield and ensures the quality of the digestate.
The combination of this unique pre-treatment with a subsequent wet digestion to use the separated organic matter is known as BTA® process. The close cooperation with the Italian company Biotec Sistemi S.r.l., allowed a continuous development and optimization of the main components of the BTA® Hydromechanical Treatment.
In 2019 the company was formally integrated into the group of companies as BTA Italia GmbH.
