For almost 30 years, Finsterwalder Umwelttechnik has been developing innovative solutions for the biogas and environmental industry. As a family-owned company based in Bavaria, Germany, we help plant operators, engineering companies and EPC contractors solve process challenges and improve the efficiency, reliability and profitability of biogas plants.

Our expertise covers the development and manufacturing of high-quality components and customized system solutions for organic waste treatment anaerobic digestion and renewable energy production from biogas. Whether it is contaminant removal, sediment management, pumping technology, hygienization or process optimization, we analyze each customer's specific challenges and deliver solutions that work in practice.

Self Cleaning Digester

Keep your digester running. Eliminate sediment build-up.

The Finsterwalder Self Cleaning Digester (SCD) is a patented system that continuously removes sinking sediments and floating contaminants during operation, preventing costly tank cleanouts and ensuring uninterrupted biogas production.

Combining a floor scraper, lightweight skimmer and sediment separator, the system maintains maximum digester efficiency, improves digestate quality and minimizes maintenance.

Proven in long-term operation, the Self Cleaning Digester delivers higher plant availability, greater process reliability and lower operating costs.
